TSM Gravimetric Batch Blenders

TSM Gravimetric Batch BlendersTSM Control Systems have been manufacturing batch weighing systems since 1985. The Sigmabatch TM series of gravimetric batch blenders are designed for optimum performance when mounted directly on the extruder or for off-line use. They provide accurate blend ratios and batch homogeneity with a consistency superior to competitive blenders, based on the TSM patented mixing technique.

Compact Heavy-Duty Design: The TSM SigmaBatchTM range of blenders are compact with a low height profile. They are RUGGEDLY CONSTRUCTED of heavy gauge steel to withstand the most rigorous of operating conditions. The load cell is overload protected and guarded from physical damage.

TSM Lay-flat Control Systems

TSM Lay-flat Control System

  • Automatic width measurement and control system
  • Reduces start-up time
  • Reduces scrap
  • Improves finished product quality
  • Increases yield and efficiencies
  • Easily mounted directly on new or existing blown film lines
  • Can be installed and started up in a matter of hours
  • 3-Month Payback from reduced overspec is typical

TSM Scanner

TSM Scanner

The single scanner houses two dynamic infra-red sensors which automatically seek and track the edges of the film, regardless of color or thickness. Each sensor acts independently, allowing the system to maintain accuracy even with dramatic web wander.

The width scanner is easily mounted after the nip rolls. A single scanner can cover a width up to 90". For measurement and control of wider films, two scanner assemblies are required.

TSM Extrusion Control Systems

TSM non-IBC Web Width Control System for Stationary or Oscillating Die

TSM non-IBC Web Width Control System

  • Control: The width is computed and displayed on the Sigmat 600 console. Any variation from the setpoint is corrected via a venturi air control unit. Measurement resolution is 0.01" with a display accuracy of 0.1".
  • Standard Extrusion Line with Fixed Air Inlet: The blown film bubble diameter is controlled by a venturi air correction unit, which regulates the factory air supply, to inflate and deflate the bubble.
  • Fully Rotating Die (Rotating Air Input): When the die is fully rotating, a standard venturi-based air correction unit connected to the factory air supply cannot be used. In this case, a small air compressor with a radio transmitter and receiver is mounted to the die to inflate and deflate the bubble.
  • IBC Lines: Complete packages for Internal Bubble Cooling systems are available with sonic bubble sensors, blowers, and stabilizing cages.

TSM Extrusion Control System CP2000 Supervisor
